"Make thee a Master"

"Make thee a Master" is the first of two parts of a film documenting a gripping journey into the heart of a faith that is intelligent.

In this video, Rabbi Ze'ev Haim Lifschitz, director of the Sadnat Enosh Institute in Jerusalem, presents his teaching and his world view:

On Judaism as the source of free choice, on Judaism as the basis for creativity

and for self-realization.

On Judaism as the religion that does not use force, that views personal growth as the purpose of the world's creation.

Rabbi Lifschitz combines profound erudition in the sacred texts and teachings of the Talmud with a broad grasp of Western philosophy.

Together with stage director and author Oded Be'eri, Rabbi Lifschitz sets out to explore the source of nurture that is common to them both; that sustains the existence of two separate entities as one.

Oded B'eri remarks: In the shade cast by a faith such as this, the secular Jew and the devout Jew may dwell together.
